My Atlanta Code Camp Talk
Today I will be at the Atlanta Code Camp giving a talk about Empowering Women in Technology. Being a woman, this is a cause near and dear to my heart. Women are hugely under-represented in the Technology field, and there are many reasons for that. Some have to do with how we steer girls when they are younger, preconceived notions regarding women’s roles, women’s innate desires and abilities and the industry in general. We will be discussing some of the obstacles as well as our strengths and ways we can network, mentor and encourage one another so that more women will be represented in the technology industry.
